Wise words said by Mac Miller in his song Rush Hour.
My favorite rapper giving me the most motivation. The first time I ever heard these words I decided I would live by it.
The More You Do The Less You Wait
In my Life Update post I mentioned moving to Alabama. A month in and I’m pretty much killing the game. Everyday I get comments about how I’m already so involved yet I just moved here. The thing about staying active is it brings you more opportunity.
If your idea book is filled with a ton of ideas, but you haven’t started any of them how will they ever get finished? How will you ever reap the benefits of the projects? When will you become successful?
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
So pull out that book, plan your project, and start!
Plan, start, and don’t give up.
- Grab a planner and set your alarm
- Put motivation quotes everywhere
- Hang around people are who are uplifting

Keep track of your progress
After starting your first project, go back and see how far you’ve come. When you feel like you’ve got a good grasp on the first project, add another one. Keep going until you’re at the place you want to be… which, will be never-ending right? After hitting one goal, comes another. It’s important to always stay consistent through it all, though. You may get down, become overwhelmed, and take a break, but always get back up.
- Cross things off your to-do list
- Go back every so often and celebrate the accomplishments you’ve made thus far
- Set new goals
- Take breaks when needed
- Re-focus, reset, and push through
It’s really up to you on how successful you become. Stop waiting, do it now. Make it happen. Because the more you do, the less you wait.
