Living in an apartment is new for us. Apartment style verses having your own home is very different, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun!

Activities

Take advantage of what the apartment complex offers. For example ours has a volleyball net, pool, and park all located in the same area which makes for a good, playful day! There are even grills to grill out so everyone is all in the same, general area. Grab the music, games, and other toys then head out have some fun! Check in with your complex to see what all they offer. I suggest asking because you never know and may be surprised. Don’t underestimate apartments. Some really do have a lot to offer.

You can make your barbecue a full fledged one with family and friends, or just have mom, dad, and baby(s). Whatever you choose, make the most of it. You can even make it your own by bringing a blanket for picnic rather than using the tables. There’s so many ways you can get creative with what you have!

We based our party around Fourth Of July, meaning we plan to do fireworks. Please be aware of safety regulations before using fireworks. If the are not allowed, you can simply have a fun hangout, get cleaned up, then everyone can ride on over tho where the fireworks will be in your city.

Game Ideas

Raid your local Target and Pinterest with all the games, toys, and crafts!

  • Card games
  • Board games
  • DIY Craft
  • Marco Polo
  • Sand Castle building

Food

Food can be made at the barbecue pit or you can order it out, just do what’s easiest for you! Don’t get too complicated. The point of this is to have fun, not stress out.

  • Hamburgers
  • Hot Dogs
  • Popsicles
  • Water Bottles
  • Heck, order pizza if you want!
  • Just don’t forget dessert

Supplies

From supplies for food to safety to fun, make sure you’ve got it all covered.

  • Bubbles
  • Hula-hoops
  • Jump-ropes
  • Chalk
  • Game
  • Pool Supplies (towel, goggles, floats)
  • Speaker
  • Blanket
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Food +Drink Items
  • Trash Bags
  • Paper-towels

We prefer Brawny® Tear-A-Square™ because they can handle pretty much everything! The Tear-A-Square kind are our favorite. Not only does it save on paper towel making the roll last longer, but it’s amazing for small messes to big ones. For your barbecue you can use paper towels to place snacks on as well. Be sure to stock up for the party and for the home.

Where To Shop Brawny Tear-A-Square?

Target! Seriously, Target is a daily trip for us. I mean Starbucks and the cafe (the hot dogs are my favorite)?! We’ll even go there just for fun like to walk around. It’s great.

You can find the paper towels at the end of the grocery aisle, right next to laundry detergent.

How Will You Make Your BBQ Stand Out?

And. How will you conquer the world one Tear-A-Square at a time? You super mom, you!
